Standard Works Who's Who? Game

This could be played in teams or just as a group answering questions.

Attention Getter

Write "Old Testament," "New Testament," "Book of Mormon," Doctrine and Covenants," and "Pearl of Great Price" along the top of the chalkboard. Ask about and briefly discuss what each scriptural book contains.

Old Testament - teachings from the Creation to just before Christ's birth
New Testament - teachings during Christ's mortal life and shortly thereafter
Book of Mormon - teachings of the people on the American Continent, the Nephites and the Lamanites
Doctrine & Covenants - teachings for the Church in the last days, revelation generally given through Joseph Smith
Pearl of Great Price - further translations and revelations through Joseph Smith including teachings of Moses, Abraham, and Matthew, Joseph Smith's history, and the Articles of Faith

Game

1. Say a name of a scriptural character of author and ask in which of the standard works is the person best known.
2. Choose the first child to raise his/her hand.
