Scripture "Grab Bag" Game

Preparation

To play this game, the following materials are needed:

• A bag for the grab bag
• Six cards or slips of paper with Book of Mormon written on them; six with New Testament written on them; six with Old Testament written on them; six with Doctrine & Dovenants/Pearl of Great Price
• A method for keeping score
• Sheet with the questions below

Procedure

Divide the children into two teams. Have the teams take turns drawing a slip of paper from the grab bag, containing one of the standard works on it. A question from the applicable book of scriptures is then asked to the team. (The child drawing from the grab bag should be given the option of answering the question or calling on someone on his/her team to answer it, so that the child's feelings re not hurt if he/she doesn't know the answer.)

Junior Primary
