Learning About the Savior

Objective

Each child will learn about the Savior by telling about an incident in His life and listing characteristics of the Savior.

Use pictures from the library depicting the Savior's life. Put children into small groups or split classes. The younger children might need help from their teacher. Briefly tell or have children in group tell about the events of the picture. Then talk about things you learn about the Savior. Such as: He loved people, He knelt to pray, He didn't get angry, He let everyone know the temple was a sacred place, etc. Have on of child stand with a picture, briefly tell the story to all the Primary children, and the things that he learned about Jesus Christ.

Some of the pictures you could use:

Jesus Stilling the Storm
Jesus Save Peter from Drowning
Feeding the Five Thousand
Jesus Washing the Disciples Feet
Jesus Blessing the Children
Jesus Visited the Temple
The Betrayal of Jesus
Jesus Praying in Gethsemane
Boy Jesus in the Temple
